Job Descriptions:

• Includes troubleshoot, maintain and documentation.
• Must be sensitive to project timeline and responsive to all project levels.
• Database administration, maintenance, and backup for Oracle 9i/10g database.
• Includes documentation and data mining for database reporting.
• Must be willing to support developers in large scale application development/implementation projects.
• The candidate will support, maintain, and assist with overseeing the media delivery system. Activities include daily support and troubleshooting of UNIX/Linux/Windows servers as it relates to the successful installation, administration, and maintenance of the system. Other duties include the development of scripts to monitor application performance. Configure operating system, web services, and network protocols to requirements as specified by application performance.
• Server and OS setup on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Network performance maximization and monitoring.
• Cooperation to provide assistance where needed to the development team, based on the teams skill set and workload.
• Design, maintain, and implement internal tools for system monitoring.
• On-going maintenance of existing infrastructure.
• Proactively participate in tuning and testing of the portal systems and mechanics, and collect feedback to determine changes needed to insure AAA-quality performance.
• Work with Programming and Network members to foster a highly communicative, coordinated team-effort.
• Study/research similar products/tools, good and bad, to gain and communicate insights into building a better portal network (both front-end and back-end) for the affiliates

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with both Windows and Linux environments.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience
• Skills with Windows, Windows 2000/2003, IIS, MSCS, AD, Linux (Red Hat).
• Should have experience managing LAN, WAN, Internet technologies, DNS, NFS, DHCP, LDAP, Sendmail , Apache, SQL, FTP etc.
• Should have experience with Routers, hardware and software firewalls, and hardware switches.
• Extensive UNIX and/or Linux system administration experience, web server, network administration, shell scripting or other scripting language experience.
• Strong analytical mind and able to provide solutions and suggestions to solve database problems.
• Must be conscientious, responsible, hardworking and able to work independently.
• Must be able to work in teams and under tight deadlines.
• Effective presentation and communication skills.
• Good writing and communication skills in English.
