Job Descriptions:
- Experience in Oracle OR Ms SQL, other Relational Database Management Systems, SQL.
- Installation of databases, Scheduling of monitoring jobs
- Backup recovery procedure support, Policy / Procedure documentation
- Database Administration, Performance Tuning
- Databse clustering, Disaster Recovery
- Problem troubleshoot, Backup / Restore procedure
- Providing technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures as they relate to databases
- Designing data dictionaries, database structure and layout, installing, upgrading, and managing database applications
- Identifying and analyzing database performance issues
- Proactively determining improvement opportunities and data quality enhancements in both pre- and post-production
- Providing support on database-related issues during testing and troubleshooting existing applications to resolve performance issues
- Building and implementing databases for specific environments (for example, test environment, production)
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 2 - 3 years of experience in database design / administration
- 2 - 3 years experience of database design, development and administration using Oracle or MSSQL or other Relational Database Management Systems.
- Applicants should be able to perform Performance Tuning, Database Clustering, and Disaster Recovery, Backup/Restore procedure, Policy/Procedure documentation, Data Dictionaries design and other fundamental database-related tasks.
- The applicants should also provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures as they relate to databases.
